To refocus public attention on sun safety and skin screening in 2021, The Sun Bus is testing its odometer with a 4 state tour across Epiphany Dermatology markets in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Thanks to generous contributions from Epiphany 

Dermatology and other supporting sponsors, The Sun Bus will be providing sun safety education and FREE skin cancer screenings at over 50 locations across the southwest!

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States but fortunately, it is also one of the most preventable. The majority of skin cancer and melanoma cases are associated with exposure to harmful UV radiation from the sun and artificial tanning sources. By educating individuals about the importance of sun-safety, self-checks, and screening, we can help to save lives! Annual skin checks by your dermatologist are recommended; however, these screenings are not feasible for all. The Sun Bus is a mobile clinic with 2 patient exam rooms outfitted to administer free skin checks to community members with the help of local Epiphany Dermatology dermatologists and skin health providers.  

The Sun Bus is outfitted with sophisticated cameras to provide live educational demonstrations of how the sun damages skin and how sunscreen protects us from these dangerous rays. These personalized demonstrations, as well as sun safety and skin cancer literature, are free to all who visit the Sun Bus.

Thanks to EltaMD, the Sun Bus is able to provide FREE sunscreen  to the community at all events it attends. Visitors can also purchase their very own EltaMD products, Wallaroo Hats, Sunday Crew UPF rated clothing, Umbrellas, and Sunglasses directly from The Sun Bus.
